The Partnership For A Tobacco-Free Maine (PTM) is the Maine Bureau of Health program responsible for tobacco prevention and control throughout Maine. Its mission is to reduce death and disability from tobacco use among Maine citizens by creating an environment supportive of a tobacco-free life.

Tobacco Prevention Link - Tobacco is the number on preventable cause of death in Maine. Resources to Quit Smoking Link - Nicotine is as addictive as heroin, and success at quitting often requires assistance. Danger of Secondhand Smoke Link - One Maine citizen dies every day from exposure to secondhand smoke. Reaching Out Link - Certain population segments are especially vulnerable to tobacco.
